• AREA AGENCY ON AGING (#10 Northwest Michigan)
      Web site for the organization that either funds or administers 
      senior services in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand 
      Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, and 
      Wexford Counties.
  
• N.W. MICHIGAN COMMISSIONS ON AGING
      Agencies that provide services to seniors residing within a 
      geographic region. They generally are created through a 
      governmental authority such as a county commission.              
       Included are these Region 10 counties: Antrim,  Benzie, 
      Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, 
      Manistee, Missaukee, and Wexford.
  
• SENIOR CITIZEN CENTERS/Associations
      Ten are included here--Alanson, Charlevoix, Lake City, 
      Manton, Marquette, Missaukee, Pellston, Petoskey, Suttons 
      Bay, and Traverse City--but more will be found under the 
      Commissions on  Aging link above. Simply click on your 
      county.
  
• Traverse Health Clinic
      The Coalition Health Access Program serves the uninsured so that they may have basic health care.
       You must live in Benzie, Grand Traverse, or Leelanau County, be 19 years of age or older, not have
      any other medical coverage, and fall within the income guidelines.
  
• MANISTEE SUPPORT GROUPS

• N.W. MICH. INFORMATION & REFERRAL SYSTEM
      A personalized tool to find needed resources in this 
      region--food, shelter, legal assistance, medical facilities, child 
      care, respite care, etc. Persons in need of help or those 
      assisting them can fill out an anonymous and simple "Citizen 
      Interview" which will then recommend appropriate nearby 
      agencies.

      Support groups listed by category include alcoholism, cancer, 
      depression, domestic violence, grief and loss, and a host of 
      others.

      Empowering independence for people with disabilities in our
