Missaukee Commission on Aging

Calendar of Coming Events

 July 2009

August will be the annual Fire Safety Program.  We had such a great time at Lake City High School last year and we look forward to seeing lots of new faces.  The $3.00 donation covers the day program, morning refreshments, and lunch….we are anxious to work with Steve Chapman of Care Linc again this year to present this great community opportunity.

The outreach program will end in September with Senior EMPOWER Day in Traverse City .  Although the theme for the event has not been officially chosen; rumor has it the topic wil be “The Power of Advocacy”….a timely topic for all of us.

The COA Monthly Foot Care Clinic continues.  Please call the office at 839-7839 and one of our Registered Nurses will be scheduled to provide the care.   The In-Home Foot Care Program also continues to be available.  The fees are $20.00 for the clinic or $25.00 for an in-home visit.

Our Board of Directors meets the second Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. here at the County Annex .  If you wish to attend and do not have your own transportation source, please call, giving us a 2 (two) business day notice, and a driver can be provided for you.

Other questions and/or concerns may be directed to the office staff during regular business hours.

Monday-Friday  8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
