EXERCISE CLASS: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 am we hold an easy exercise class for seniors. These sessions are intended to meet the needs of a full spectrum of adults, with their special needs in mind. This class is free of charge! Try it a couple of times, and we're sure you will enjoy it!

Bingo:  October 14, 12:45.   55+ only. Free.

Euchre: Every Tuesday at 6:30 pm, open to all ages.  $3 fee for playing; prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Group Painting every Friday at 12:30 p.m. All ages; freestyle painting in acrylics. Materials provided free!

DUPLICATE BRIDGE:  each Wednesday at 7:00 pm. All ages.

WEIGHT WATCHERS: Weight Watchers provides nutrition education, exercise information, goals,  recipe exchanges, and support as a group to help us change our behaviors and attitudes.  This will enable us to reach our weight loss goals. The weigh-in is at 5:30 pm each Monday night at the Bellaire Senior Center, and class begins at 6:00 pm.

THE HEALTH AND HEALING MINISTRIES OF KALKASKA OFFER A GROUP SESSION IN DEALING WITH GRIEVING THE 2ND THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH AT THE STONE HOUSE, ADJACENT TO the KALKASKA MEMORIAL HEALTH CENTER.

    Examples of specialists needed: plumber, electrician, chauffer, floor buffing, carpet laying, computers, carpentry, general office, someone with a trailer to deliver items, and folks to deliver Meals-on-Wheels. Call 533-8703.

Loan Closet
    The Commission on Aging maintains a loan closet of various prosthetic devices which are available free of charge to senior residents of Antrim County. It is also available to handicapped individuals regardless of age with a demonstrated need. We have wheelchairs, walkers , bath benches, bedside commodes, commode risers, sterile bed pads, crutches, hand-held showers, Hoyer lifts, a cardio chair, and a limited amount of Depends.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE
    Free initial legal consultation is available with Judge Jack Unger for seniors 60 and older. Make an appointment with his law office at (231) 533-6566. Be sure you tell his office that you are a senior and that you saw this in the Senior Update Newsletter.

Area Seniors, Inc., hold their monthly meetings at 12:30 on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Bellaire Senior Center.

    The second Monday of each month. Lunch at your expense at a predetermined site.  
 Choose Walmart, K-Mart, Kohl's, or any other store in the area.

Swimming @ the Kaliseum

Every Friday, the C.O.A will provide transportation to Kalkaska for an hour swim session for a small fee of $2.00.
Departure times will be as follows:
    Bellaire Senior Center        9:15 am
    Mancelona Senior Center  9:30 am
Deadline for sign up will be the Thursday of the same week.
    You may drive yourself to the Kaliseum, but you must call our office prior to the trip and mail in your $2 to us.
    If you would like to see the swimming trip continue, please make the effort to contact our office to make your reservation @ 533-8703

Euchre Tournaments
     Tuesday nights at 6:30. Open to all levels of play, age 18 and older. There will be a $3 entry fee with cash prizes awarded. Coffee, cookies, and our 50/50 raffle drawing.
