EVERY SECOND COUNTS!
Traverse City, Mich. – The Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging is pleased to
announce that we are now helping over 120 senior citizens in our Personal Emergency
Response Program. Prior to July 2007, we assisted twenty seniors in this program. The
Personal Emergency Response Program assists seniors, 60 years of age or older, in
Grand Traverse County, in the event of an emergency such as a stroke or a fall. The
senior simply presses a button and help is called. This program, along with other
programs offered by the Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging, assists seniors in
our area to live safely at home. The main source of funding for all services provided is a
local millage. For additional information about our services, call the Grand Traverse
County Commission on Aging office at (231) 922-4688 or toll-free, 1-877-686-4688.
